The Company:
Our client is one of the world's largest integrated energy companies conducting business in countries all around the globe. They are engaged in every aspect of the crude oil & natural gas industry, including exploration & production, manufacturing, marketing & transportation, chemicals manufacturing & sales, geothermal, power generation, renewables & advanced technologies.

The Role:
PURPOSE:
1. Implement and manage the data control and data management processes and systems for the project.
2. DFO documents and data are transferred into Operation repository system and available for use for the Operation phase.

DIMENSIONS:
Internal Customers:
Key customers are all project managers and engineering managers.
Project Engineering staff in Norway and Aberdeen.

External Customers:
Contractors and vendors of the project.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Represent the client with regard to Documentation for Operation (DFO) within the Project Team.
The DFO Co-ordinator is within the client responsible for implementing and following up DFO activities for the Project.
Monitor the implementation of contract requirements and apply quality surveillance techniques.
This shall cover: Documentation, Data sheets, All register data, CAD, 3D Model Ensure consistent implementation of contract requirements across contract interfaces.
Participate as an active member of the Client Project Engineering Team: Advise within identified primary responsibilities as detailed above.
Support Company Representative and assist System Leads in DFO matters as required Work Tasks: Monitor in detail the implementation of DFO requirements in the Project.
Monitor implementation and use of DFO specification, including IT systems and tools and their interaction.
Monitor the formal quality and status of DFO. Coordinate DFO matters between disciplines and contracts.
Available as a resource person for the contractors.
Ensure that Company disciplines, contractors and Operation have sufficient knowledge wrt. DFO requirements.
Evaluate DFO related matters, which are brought up, and prepare recommendations for Company decision taking.
Evaluation of VORs and NCRs. Liaise with Project Operations with regards to DFO related contract clarifications and NCRs.
Coordinate transfer of DFO to Project Operation.
Coordinate use and update of Ormen Lange Project Coding Manual.

To foster an understanding of IT IM in Project Engineering and to demonstrate how IT IM can serve as a key enabler for improving business processes and performance.
To work strategic to achieve best in class performance.
To architect a Customer responsive organization in a resource constrained and cost effective manner, while working in the rapidly changing world of IT IM.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience and good working knowledge of Data Control and processes. (Engineering data warehouse experience preferable but not essential).
Experience of managing a Data Control Management Department within an engineering environment.
Knowledge of data modelling methodology.
Knowledge of Electronic Information Specification documents.
Knowledge of Engineering applications in term of data content.
