The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
As the Dredging Supervisor you will assist the Dredging Package Manager, the Dredging Project Engineers and the Dredging Superintendent to manage the dredging contractor by inspecting and monitoring the daily activities of several dredgers and reporting findings in a timely manner to the Dredging Superintendent.

Responsibilities:
• Inspect and monitor the daily activities of several dredgers in conjunction with other Dredging Supervisors.
• Assist in ensuring dredging is carried out in accordance with approved standards and the Contract specifications.
• Prepare daily reports to the Dredging Superintendent for each assigned dredger.
• Regularly observe disposal operations at offshore disposal ground to ensure required protocols are followed.
• Assess performance and efficiency of dredgers, especially during execution of day works, and report findings to Dredging Superintendent.
• Keep accurate records of all standby time for reconciliation of Contractor claims.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications at Certificate III level or higher in dredging, civil engineering or a related discipline and/or extensive practical experience in large dredging projects.
• Minimum of 5 years experience working on large-scale dredging projects in Australia.
• Considerable knowledge of the methods and procedures used in dredging operations related to commercial ports.
• Understanding of techniques used to monitor turbidity adjacent to dredging operations, including implications arising from the monitoring results.
• Experience in or knowledge of dredging hard rock without the use of blasting is desirable.
• Experience in or knowledge of underwater blasting activities is desirable.
