The Company:
A major international oil and gas operator is seeking a Drill Site Manager- Air Rig to work on a rotational basis in Pennsylvania

The Role:
Accountable for safe and efficient execution of all well drilling and workover operations. Position is responsible to direct day to day well site operations on land based completion and workover operations. Key job responsibilities are working in a team environment to ensure the safety of all personnel on location and compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, managing day to day activities of rig contractor personnel and third party contractors, managing logistics for personnel and equipment to and from location, providing accurate daily reports to the Drilling Superintendent and data entry into the client database system, maintaining accurate cost control. Strong communication skills are imperative. Position requires employee to work either a 14/14 work schedule at various field locations.

Applicants must be able to successfully complete IADC Well Control training to achieve certification for well control. Additional technical training will be provided as required through company’s internal training program.

Operations involve air drilling and horizontal drilling of gas wells with synthetic oil base mud. Operations are subject to a high level of public scrutiny.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must have previous Air Rig experience preferrably in the Appalachian basin. Diverse drilling experience including directional and horizontal well execution. Provides direction to Business Partners on all aspects of drilling, completion and workover operations on a daily basis.
Strong emphasis on safety of personnel. Demonstrated capacity to lead and supervise diverse rig teams to achieve Incident Free operations. Ensures operations are conducted in accordance with sound engineering practices and compliance with all environments and safety laws and regulations. Reinforces HES processes in all aspects of day to day operations including JSA’s, safety meetings, Tenets of Operations, RCA investigations, near miss reporting, etc. Champions BBS program usage and training for client and Contractor personnel.
