The Company:
A Major international oil and gas operator seeks multiple Drilling Supervisors to work on a rotational basis in Kurdistan

The Role:
Drill Site Manager for Northern Iraq (Kurdistan) The Consultant Drill Site Manager (Company Representative) is client’s on-site manager for drilling, completion, workover and intervention operations on clients rig fleet associated with land, onshore and deepwater locations around the world.

The work schedule will be 28 days on/28 days off, with travel time on the consultant’s days off.
The duration of this assignment will be approx. 36 months.

Initially, consultants will work out of Clients’s Houston office developing the start up plan and ordering equipment. Once equipment and materials begin to arrive in Iraq, these positions will shift to a rotational basis in Kurdistan, Iraq.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Development of long lead item equipment and materials lists.
Participate in the development of the well plan.
Manages day to day drilling operations in a safe and efficient manner.
Works as a member of a team to ensure the safety of all personnel on location and compliance with all applicable local government and Company environmental regulations.
Manages day to day activities of rig contractor personnel and third party contractors. ?Manages logistics for personnel and equipment to and from location. ?Provides accurate daily reports to superintendent.
Maintains accurate cost control.
This position will require demonstrated remote and harsh environmental operations skill sets. THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
A valid passport issued from country of citizenship.
A minimum of 15 years experience in onsite supervision of drilling operations in remote locations.
Strong communication skills are imperative.
English language skills. Language skills other than English are not required, but will be a plus.
A valid IADC Well Control Certificate (or equivalent) is require for consideration of this position.
Applicants must be able to successfully complete Clients’s IADC certified Well Control training in order to achieve certification for well control. Fulfillment of this requirement must be completed before operational activities commence in Iraq.
Strong emphasis on safety of personnel and assures compliance with all applicable environmental regulations & policies.
Demonstrated ability to apply new technology.
Experience in mentoring and training local crews and less experienced personnel.
