The Role:
Basic function:

As a member of the Well Intervention team, the DS&T Specialist is primarily responsible for rig based DST engineering and execution, from initial conversations with customer groups to determine data requirements, to planning, coordinating, preparing procedures and assisting the Drilling Supervisor in Supervising the safe and efficient implementation of the programmes. They will also ensure the quality of the data, liaise with the appropriate internal bodies, and assist with the management of the project funds. May be required to perform a similar function for other rig based Well Intervention activities.

Role and Scope:

Attend well team meetings to identify DST requirements.
Compile detailed procedures to implement DST operations, ensuring all operational objectives are met.
Ensure that daily operational plans reflect the planned activities and are distributed as required during DST operations.

DST planning including generation of cost estimates to cover the operation.

Assist in preparation of daily MOPS, and ensure they are completed and distributed as required during DST operations.
- Ensure that service providers adhere to all equipment certification and personnel competency requirements so operations are completed safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the contractor performance reports to identify strengths and weaknesses.
- Research, identify and evaluate new technology opportunities

Responsible for:

- Attend Well team and asset team meetings during planning phase to ensure that customers are aware of all technical options available to meet the testing and stimulation requirements.
- Liaison with contractors to ensure that perforation, stimulation and testing requirements are fully understood.
- Reviewing contractor proposals to ensure that proposed solutions are fit for purpose.
- Prepare cost estimates and manage personnel and equipment to ensure the perforation, stimulation and testing operations are performed safely, on time, in budget.
