The Company:
With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, the Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK

The Role:
To proactively support the client well team by providing cost accounting, reporting and control. The successful applicant will report to the Lead Drilling Accountant.

Every individual has a duty to both themselves and those around them to ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. In addition to any specific accountabilities for HSSE, all employees are accountable for ensuring that they take care of themselves and adopt exemplary safe behaviours.

- Track value of work and costs for the ongoing client well; monitoring estimates against actuals; and, ensuring correct allocation of actual expenditure.
- Completion of well review / reconciliation for the client's well.

You will:
- Estimated final well cost at end of well to be within 10% of actual final well cost.
- Significantly improve level of proactive cost control support to Wells Teams.
- Ensure minimal findings by JV audits through the preparation of best in class well reconciliations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience Needed:
- Extensive previous drilling accounting experience.
- Understanding of Joint Operating Agreements (JOA’s) and vendor contracts.
- Technical understanding of drilling operations.

- Knowledge of oil and gas accounting and technical accounting background advantageous.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel.
