The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
• Assist development and review of System Integration Test procedures for the Platform.
• Develop post tow-out engineering scope for follow on engineering work for Drilling package.
• Develop wellbore operational procedures based existing equipment packages within Drilling Unit.
• Lead Drilling HAZOPs and Risk Assessments for drilling systems leading up to start of operations.
• Participate in development of oilfield service contracts for new offshore drilling operation.
• Development of technical criteria and operating envelopes for specific drilling and completions hardware.
• Development of Drilling and Completions services work scope.
• Review drawings, specifications, manufacturing plans, and quality plans for oilfield service equipment.

• Familiar with applicable industry related codes (API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV).
• Knowledge of Canada-Newfoundland Labrador offshore Oil and Gas regulations (CNLOPB).
• Extensive experience in all aspects of Drilling and Completion operations in offshore environments.
• Experience in development of tender packages for oilfield service contracts, including development of work scope, quality plans, and evaluation criteria.
• Extensive knowledge of drilling unit systems including derrick equipment, high pressure mud systems, gravel packing, cementing, and mud mixing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Fluent in English (working language).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience:

• Strong background (20+ years) and familiarity with Platform Drilling Rig systems specifically in North Atlantic weather environments.
• Extensive knowledge of Sand Control Surface Pumping equipment and technology.
• Knowledge of Platform Drilling, Completion, and Intervention systems in an offshore Platform environment.
• Experience in wellbore design development including knowledge of drilling tools, fluid systems, and completion hardware.
• Strong preference for experience in an Integrated Platform Environment or MODU environment.
• Background in Drilling, Completions, and Workover operations for extended reach and horizontal wellbores.
