The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
Work Description:
Development of MODU specific drilling and completions procedures for subsea wells. Some offshore work may be required.


• Demonstrated regard for Health, Safety, Security, Ethics and Environmental issues in the workplace
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organize and progress own work schedule
• Experience working within multi-disciplined team environment involving multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of Canada-Newfoundland Labrador offshore Oil and Gas regulations (CNLOPB)
• Extensive experience in all aspects of Drilling and Completion operations in offshore environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Fluent in English (working language)

Additional Comments:

• Primary role is office based, 5 day work week.
• Potential requirement for offshore work on an as needed basis

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Position requires minimum 10 years of Drilling and Completions Engineering experience (Bachelor of Engineering)
• Experience in wellbore design development including knowledge of drilling tools, fluid systems, and completion hardware
• Experience and familiarity with MODU Drilling Rig systems specifically in North Atlantic harsh weather environments
• Position requires a minimum of 3 years MODU experience in North Atlantic or equivalent offshore environment drilling and completions
• Prior experience working for a major Operator or Drilling Contractor preferred
• Competent in MODU operations and subsea equipment
• Highly developed communications skills and proficient in typical Microsoft computer based applications
• Must hold current regulatory compliant certification for Offshore Survival and Subsea Well Control
• Experience working independently and in a team environment
