The Company:
My Client is a major Oil & Gas Operator

The Role:
Job Purpose

To maintain accurate & timely well cost accounting records for drilling & completions activities.


Reports to

Wells Team Leader


Work Pattern

•21/21 or 28/28 rotation


Health, Safety, Security & Environment

•Demonstrates a Safety First attitude at all times

•Actively participates in HSSE activities

•Ensures all accidents, incidents & near misses are reported

•Focal Point for ensuring wells cost accounting is performed in line with Company policies

•Interprets Work Program & Daily Operations Reports and Lookaheads in preparing auditable daily and cumulative wells Value of Work Done

•Maintains wells cost tracking database

•Ensures the cost & quantity of inventory movements is correctly reflected in wells cost estimates

•Provides wells Value of Work Done estimates to Finance department at month end

•Provides support & advice to drilling services Contract Holders when job tickets are presented for approval

•Assists Finance & PSCM departments perform contract compliance of all drilling & inventory invoices

•Provides front line assurance that robust internal controls are in place and are rigorously applied

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•University degree / diploma, preferably accounting/finance or commercial discipline

•15+ years operator-side drilling/completions cost control experience, preferably inside the Drilling Department

•Prior experience of onshore drilling campaigns, preferably in remote locations

•Thorough knowledge of drilling activities, processes, equipment tools necessary

•Experience with contract execution and contract compliance desirable

•Knowledge & understanding of inventory and inventory control desirable

•Fluent in English - French/Arabic desirable

•Computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel)

•Ability to prepare & maintain cost databases
