The Company:
Our Company is a powerful new oil & gas production and development company, has been formed from the demerged North Sea interests of joint venture. Our company assets have been contributed by both firms on a debt free basis. We are a focused independent company

The Role:
• Ensure that the highest Safety Standards are attained and that all equipment and procedures are in compliance with Regulatory Authority and Company standards and procedures.
• Responsible for the development of engineering programmes and cost estimates for well work-over’s and new wells in accordance with the Company well Delivery process, ensuring sound engineering principles and practices are applied, implementing lessons learned and using agreed company systems (EDT).
• Monitor the Operational Plan and Cost Reporting with a view to optimising Performance, minimising Non-Productive Time and maximising the cost-effectiveness of the operation.
• Liaise closely with the Contracts, Purchasing and Logistics support functions to ensure that offshore logistics support (boats, helicopters) is provided as efficiently as possible.
• Assist with tender preparation and evaluation of Drilling Operations Services
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the Business Management System as applied to the Well Engineering Team.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements for well intervention, maintenance and construction activities.
• Liaise with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) as appropriate on all well work issues.
• Assist with the preparation of AFE’s and manage costs to achieve best value for money.
• Participate in the weekly operations duty rota.
• Ensure together with the Completions Engineer that completion designs are prepared, and completion equipment ordered as appropriate.
• Liaise daily with the offshore team during drilling, work-over and re-completion operations.
• Interface with all members of Company Well Engineering department to ensure smooth execution of work scopes.
• Travel to onshore and offshore worksites to assist with operations, both in the UK and overseas.
• Ensure compliance with Management of Change procedures.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports on the drilling, work-over and re-completion work scopes.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive risk register for all activities, ensuring mitigations are fully incorporated in all programmes.
• Prepare End of Well Report (EOWR) capturing lessons learnt, fully utilising OpenWells/PROFILE etc.
• Close out all operations and cost reporting at the end of an activity.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Either B. Sc (Eng) with a proven track record in Drilling, Completion operations, including
• a minimum of two years spent at the rig site (preferably offshore).
• Or HND/HNC or equivalent in Engineering discipline together with significant offshore
• experience in hands-on drilling role.
• IWCF Certificate inWell Control
• Current offshore survival, medical and MIST certification
