The Company:
Our client is a major operator in the oil and gas industry.

The Role:
Main Job Function:

• Provide well engineering support to the Senior Drilling & Completion Engineer to ensure that planning of the well activities is consistent with the applicable rules and procedures and that operations are performed in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
• To provide support to Well Operations teams to perform a daily well activity analysis to identify & capture lessons learnt for possible improvements and/or Cost reduction.
• To provide support to Well Operations to produce the necessary documents required by the local legislation.

Key Responsibility Areas:
• The job holder is responsible for:
• Preparing together with the Senior Drilling Engineer, the Drilling/Completion/Well Testing programs in a timely and technically sound manner, complying with the Company’s policies and procedures.
• Support the Senior Drilling Engineer on the day by day well operations, ensuring that lessons learnt are systematically captured, recorded and incorporated in the future well programmes in order to continuously improve the performances and safety of the well operations.
• Support Senior Drilling Engineer in producing Drilling Cost Estimates for each Well and producing AFE’s/NOE’s [Authorization for Expenditure/Notification of Expenditure]
• Support Senior Drilling Engineer in preparation of WBE [wells] Budgets according to Drilling Schedule and update it when plan is revised.
• Monitor Well progress time and costs; timely report to the line responsible position on deviation from planned. Control that data and information from the well site are correct and consistent with operations on going, in order to ensure that reliable database is built.
• Support the Senior Drilling Engineer on NPT & associated cost analysis.
• Support in preparation of the End of Activity Reports in co-operation with the Senior Drilling Engineer and, in case, with relevant Contractors/Suppliers and other Company’s Disciplines.

• Participate during the tendering exercises for the provision of material, equipment and services related to the Well Operations activities (e.g. technically evaluating proposals, preparing technical reports, etc.).
• Support the Well Operations Dept. With the preparation of technical documentation necessary to accomplish the local legislation (i.e. Plan Ruchu, Dodateks etc..) in both English and Polish version.
• To support management to interface with the Local relevant Mining Authorities during the different steps of the foreseen plan of approvals.

Safety Responsibilities

Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.

Main Interfaces:
• Well Operations Department and report directly to the Well Operations Manager. To work closely with the Senior Drilling/Completion Engineers, Drilling Superintendent and HSE department.
To have regular contacts with services companies. To participate and interface, as required, to the meetings with the Local authorities during the approval process of the required documents.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Master Degree in Engineering;
• Ideally at least 5 years of Oil & Gas Industry experience;
• Ideally at 5 years of drilling and completions activities experience.
• Certification of Higher Supervision level issued any Polish Mining Authorities.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The possession of a Polish Mining Certification for being a KRZ (Kierownik Ruchu Zakładu) will be considered preferable.
