The Company:
Our client is one of the major owner/operators active in the Netherlands.

The Role:
As Drilling Engineer operations, the job holder is in charge to :

- Optimize drilling procedures while ensuring accordance with in house technical rules and HSE rules.
- Prepare, in co-ordination with 2G&R the wells Statement of Requirement and propose it for validation.
- Prepare drilling engineering activities, Well trajectory, anti-collision program, Well architecture, Casing program, Drilling program, BHA program, Well timing.
- Prepare Well Proposals, AFE, Detailed Drilling Program and Final Well reports.
- Elaborate Operational risk assessments, Identify mitigation measures to have in place and prepare Contingency programs/equipment to be available on time for the operation.
- Organize pre-spud meetings with contractors in town and on-site.
- In case of anti-collision risk, supervise directional work on site.
- Follow up rig operations from town, listing Lowlights and Highlights, Sources of NPT, Improvement opportunities and QA/QC issues with contractors, on a daily basis, to feed following programs with necessary adjustments.
- Keep DIP (Drilling improvement process) register alive. Close actions in timely manner.
- Promote active participation of Operational section to DIP meetings (teleconference with rig and over night visits onsite are suggested when required)
- Ensure the well reporting is correctly written and control adequacy of operation codification.
- Update periodically his hierarchy of current engineering status and notify immediately in case of any problems.
- Co-ordinate and minute a bi-weekly meeting with D&M contractor.
- Contribute to write TEPNL Drilling state of the art and REX (Return of experiences reports).
In some occasions the job holder may be required to be Acting Head of drilling engineering section and/or Acting Superintendent.

- High level of technical challenges due to the development of mature blocks and abandonment of old wells.
- Wells with high departure, multi drain, horizontal drains, complex formation chart, re-entry of old wells.
- Delicate SIMOPS due to old wells dealing with downgraded situations.
- Context of cost reduction and performance optimization.
- Rig planning submitted to frequent and sudden changes.

- Established HSE procedures and policies are maintained;
- Engineering workflow is fulfilled on time.
- Drilling programs enhance operational performance, well productivity and cost efficiency.
- His working schedule is compatible with the workflow priorities.
- Supt. and Cy.Man are feeding the Drilling Engineering process.
- Drilling Services Companies are part of the teamwork aiming for a constant improvement.

Drilling know-how is shared within company.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Graduated drilling engineer with international field experience – minimum 6 years in the petroleum industry.
- Knowledge of North Sea drilling environment is preferable.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Full compliance with TDO/FP obligatory trainings.
