The Role:
The role will be responsible for drilling engineering for the two sidetrack and two horizontal rig day rate operations. This includes but is not limited to advancing the subsurface to a full drilling program (Prognosis, mud, cement, directional drilling, mud logging, casing, etc), drill the well on paper exercises, pre-spud meeting with operations team, daily operations monitoring with operations team, end of well report, and lessons learned to optimize operations. The individual will work closely with the key suppliers for rig, bundled services and whipstocks and liner hangers. The individual shall mentor and help young engineers in the team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to at least first degree level in an engineering, preferably petroleum or mechanical
Experience developing drilling procedures and programs for directional wells,
Experience designing wells with MWD, LWD, PDM and RSS
Experience with drilling software programs such as Landmark, Compass, etc.
Detailed knowledge of drilling & completion design, engineering and planning is essential
Knowledge of all bundled services product lines, liner hangers and fishing,
Experience with drilling operations
Knowledge of drilling contracts
Experience working in a remote / desert location in a multicultural environment is preferred.
Team player and good communication skills
Middle East experience would be beneficial,
Land drilling experience required
