The Role:
The development will include the installation of twin steel, bridge linked platforms set in approx. 150m of water. State of the art drilling facilities will be included as part of the topsides on the drilling & production (DP) platform, which will be linked to the quarters and utilities (QU) platform. A cyber based, semi-automatic drilling rig will be required which will be based on the design of the successful Phase 1 drilling system. The schedule for project will include installation and start up in late 2017.
The post will be based in the project offices in Aberdeen

General Description
Drilling Facilities Commissioning Engineer level 4 will play a key role in managing and leading a team of and contract staff to fully commission the drilling modules (DES and DSM). The object of the commissioning team is to deliver the commissioning programme within budget, on schedule and with no harm to people or the environment.
As part of the project team, the post-holder should provide leadership on HSSE issues and show commitment to no accidents, no harm to people and no damage to the environment.
• Ensure project costs are well defined and completed within budget
• Accountable for managing the drilling facilities commissioning team on the project.
• Establish and met schedules and targets
• Ensure project is executed to meet permit and regulatory compliance
• Transition plans from commissioning to Operations are prepared and implemented
• Cross functional communication
• Foster development of staff to achieve development goals and objectives
• Contribute to annual performance appraisals for Team
The post-holder must have experience of drilling facilities commissioning.
