The Role:
Office based role in Bangkok, Thailand

Role Function:
Provides functional HSSE input throughout the drilling campaign
Provide advice and support on HSSE issues to the Drilling Team, relevant functional heads and contractor’s personnel
Assure compliance with both company and contractor’s Health and Safety Policies, Procedures and Standards, Bridging document and Legislative requirements
Develop, effective and practical solutions and/ or options to ensure performance expectations and targets are met.
Leads drilling safety - operability/and RAM studies

Responsibilities:
 Plans and organizes all drilling safety reviews and audits
 Whenever practical ensure that HSSE errors and deficiencies are rectified as soon as possible and escalates issues for management action where they are unresolved
 Proposes solutions to possible drilling or operability HSSE issues
 Systematic monitoring of Drilling HSSE performance - develops and maintains records, data and statistics as necessary for mandatory reporting
 Informs the Drilling Manager and corporate HSSE manager immediately of instances of potential high-impact non-compliance with safety rules or observes unsafe acts or practices
 Proposes and develops drilling safety programs and documents (including PTW), processes and training programs as required
 Liaises and works with all Contractors to ensure good safety compliance, culture and performance.
 Assist and participate where appropriate in contractor Job Safety Assessments, inspections, reviews and audits as required.

Qualifications
• Experienced and comfortable working in both onshore and offshore environments
• At least 15 years’ experience of oil and gas drilling activities
• Experience of oil and gas offshore production operation would be beneficial
• Broad knowledge of Operational Health and Safety, management systems, tools and techniques
• Current offshore medical and survival certificates (to OPITO standards)
• Written and spoken English required to a high level
