The Company:
With operations across the world, our client uses innovation and technology to deliver energy to a growing world. They are currently leading an integrated LNG Project in PNG that includes gas production and processing facilities including liquefaction and storage facilities.

The Role:
Reporting to the Drilling Logistics Supervisor you will be responsible for coordinating with DLS to effectively manage the day to day field logistics and material functions as it relates to cargo arrival, departure, unloading, loading, cargo escort and general inventory management.

Responsibilities include:
Oversee all cargo unloading and loading activity involving drilling’s business in Hides as per direction from DLS.
Direct and escort cargo to designated cargo laydown yards (5 locations currently) in Hides Area
Ensure unloading, loading and packing operations are conducted safely and in line with established procedures, guidelines and regulations.
Assist DLS with physical inventory of equipment and materials as required.
Promote and participate in drilling safety culture through use of Drilling safety tools, planning and procedures.
Attend daily planning meetings with EHL, freight company and Drilling
Prepare shipping documents as required to move materials to appropriate destination.
Report any issues/concerns from field operation to Drilling Logistics Supervisor

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Exhibit strong safety culture, coordination skills.
Ability to manage difficult or ad-hoc, unplanned materials requirements or changing priorities
Familiarity with management of cargo and materials handling equipment
Exhibit leadership, coordination and planning skills with the good verbal communication skills (telephones, radio and in person) as well as effective written communication through email effectively.
Understanding and knowledge of Cargo and Materials Handling Equipment (MHE)
well organized, motivated and willing to take on new challenges in an ever changing environment while exhibiting patience and perseverance to complete the job
Skilled in basic computer programs
Good people skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Previous hardship enviroment work experience
Oil and gas experience desirable
