The Role:
SCOPE:

• Onshore Drilling Manager, it is a full time position role located in Madrid headquarters Office.
• The job position will manage the onshore drilling activities including drilling operations activities where our company is acting as Operator and drilling activities to be performed as partner in the current and future drilling operations.
• The successful candidate will co-ordinate manage and prepare all onshore drilling engineering activities and management systems. Furthermore, the Onshore Drilling Manager will revise and technically validate the drilling programs, prepare by the filial where our company has the role of Operator as well as the programs prepare by other Operators where tour company is acting as a partner.
• The position will report to the Headquarters Madrid Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities:
As Onshore Drilling Manager based in Madrid, and reporting to the Headquarters Operations Manager, he will be in charge of Managing and lead a team of Well Onshore Engineers directly involved in the Onshore drilling operations.
In this role, the main responsibilities will be:

• Be in charge of the overall compliance with company HSE Policy and WEMS during offshore operations.

• Elaborate and maintain the Onshore Well Engineering Operational Standards and Procedures, as well as Onshore Well Engineering Process (DWOP, Pre Spud, EOWR)
- Well Control Standards and Procedures
- Operational procedures and Best Practices
- Rig start up guidelines
- Well Integrity during operations
- Audits and inspections programs to various onshore assets.

• Support Drilling Offshore Operations :
- Approve the onshore drilling programs, and detailed drilling guidelines
- Validate wells/projects AFE
- Approve project risks and opportunities register
- Approve the MOC (Management of Change) during operations and deviations from WE standards.

• Provide expertise in:
- NOV onshore operations attending and representing the Company in the TCM as required
- Establishing contracting strategies and support implementation
- Contract Holder for major onshore contracts

• Validate the Well Engineering Planning and logistic in the different onshore drilling operations.
• Validate the Drilling Optimisation and Performance proposed.
• Define, plan and manage Well Engineering studies required in the different Drilling Operations.
• Manage training program for Onshore Drilling Engineers assigned to operations.




Requirements:

• B.Sc. Degree and/or M.Sc in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
• More than 15 years’ experience in the drilling industry, and at least 5 years’ experience as Drilling Manager.
• Ability to transmit experiences and knowledge
• Negotiation skills, in order to sustain the Company vis-a-vis contractors and specialist.
• Working Knowledge in English
• Some Spanish knowledge will also be considered.
