The Role:
We have been asked to source and retain the services of an experienced Drilling/Wells Manager to work in a residential staff Drilling Manager role in Oman.

Responsibilities will include:

* Planning, Managing and Delivering all Well Construction (to include development, appraisal and exploration)
* Ensure a safe working envionment during the delivery of 20-30 wells per annum over the next 4 years
* Design, supervision and review of the design of casing strings and cementing plans, directional drilling plans, drilling fluids programs, and drill string and drill bit programs
* Specifying (or reviewing) equipment, material and ratings and grades to be used in the drilling process, including completion

Unconventional Drilling Experience, with multi directional and horizontal experience is a must, some knowledge of the impacts of fracking would be a distinct advantage. Another major factor in this role will be cost control, with 2/3 of the Drilling program still to take place a key focus will be addressing financial performance to date and making improvements where appropriate.

We have interview availability for interested parties that are able to demonstrate credible experience in a like for like capacity, but at a minimum should have:

* Engineering Degree (or equivalent)
* 15-20 years Oil & Gas experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity
* Current well engineering skills, including significant expertise across Drilling & Completions
* Fluent English communication skills, a working knowledge of Arabic would be a bonus.

In return for skills and expertise you'll be eligible for a class leading package, including support with housing and relocation, a basic salary in excess of $215,000 (negotiable) and repatriation for family or single status applicants.
