The Company:
Our client is a major Global Oil and Gas operator with significant involvement in the Western Australian market

The Role:
Our client is looking for a Drilling Safety & Health Rig Site Advisor to work on a rotational basis in Western Australia

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the drilling operations regarding safety & health issues and serves at the rig site as a contact for safety and health issues related to rig-based activities, executing initiatives and responding to requests and questions from the drill team.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Observe Safety & Health drills carried out at the site and participate in de-briefing meeting, ensuring adherence to Company requirements

Facilitate regular Safety & Health inspection, assessments and audit on-site in accordance with established Company Safety & Health programs or as requested by the site team

Follow the safety requirement of the sites and immediately report hazardous work and non-conformances to the site lead for the follow up with the contractor and subcontractors

Administer Company safety awareness, recognition and incentive programs on site

Review and coordinate site contractor’s Safety & Health plans

Participate as required in investigation and follow-up of incidents/accidents. Prepare notifications and reports for site representative signature

Provide early warning of potential Safety & Health problems

Identify trends to develop programs and/or initiatives to promote an injury free work environment

The ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge of:
Drilling operations and processes
Safety rules and regulations
O&G Industry practices, processes, and expectations with respect to drilling operations, safety, health and operations integrity


You will also be require to have good organizational and strong technical judgment skills


Ability to research and communicate general industry standards such as OSHA’s General Industry regulations, OSHA recordkeeping standard, API RP, NIOSH etc.

Demonstrated skills to positively influence drilling workforce - employees and contractors

Exceptional skills in MS Office suite of software programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Ability to work and communicate in international locales and with diverse cultures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 5-10 years in Oil & Gas occupational safety & health

Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety & Health
