The Role:
Job Title : Drilling SSHE Supervisor
Div/Dept/Sect : Drilling

Status : Office Resident and Regular Offshore Visit

Job Purpose:

Coordination of SSHE activities at Drilling organization and accountable to implement all SSHE related activities/initiatives in the Drilling department

Key Accountabilities:

• Work with Contract and QA/QC Engineers to ensure SSHE Management System and Contractor Management System (CMS) are well covered in the procurement and contracting process
• Work with Drilling Operations team in the preparation of contractor SSHE Management System reviewing and bridging.
• Liaise with SSHE manager to understand the SSHE plans, activities and initiatives to be implemented at Drilling Rigs to ensure strong SSHE culture.
• Work with Drilling Manager to implement the plans stipulated by the SSHE department
• Ensure that all SSHE activities/ initiatives are successfully implemented at the Drilling rigs through constant liaison with Drilling SSHE Assistant
• Provide expertise opinions and advise to Drilling SSHE Assistant and Drilling Operation Manager in resolving SSHE matter
• Constant monitoring and tracking of all SSHE matters at Rigs
• Regular reporting upwards to SSHE Manager and Drilling Manager on SSHE matters
• Point of Contact with Contractors on all Drilling SSHE matters
• Ensure contractors SSHE standards are of level that is acceptable to AA SSHE management and meets all the safety requirement e.g., certifications
• Review Contractor SSHE MA and provide feedback to SSHE Manager, Drilling Manager and Drilling Operation Manager
• Provide input and improvement to SSHE standards, e.g., Look for opportunity to improve the robustness of SSHE management reporting systems
• Assist Drilling Manager to fully resource SSHE Drilling unit
• Provide coaching and mentoring to SSHE Drilling team members
• Ensure all activities required under CMS are completed on time for both him/herself and team members – this includes acting as Technical Well Services Assessor for CMS Internal and Recruitment Screening process
• Lead and facilitate the incident investigation. Organize and provide Incident Investigation training to Drilling Supervisor personal.

• Successful implement of SSHE plans and initiatives and strong SSHE culture accomplishment
• Timely assistance to resolve SSHE related matters
• Timely reporting on all SSHE matters, raise and resolve SSHE related issues with SSHE Manager, Drilling Manager and Drilling Operations Manager
• All contractors safety standards are at AA accepted level and they are SSHE compliant
• Full operational team to manage Drilling SSHE related matters
• Competent team with positive attitude
• All CMP and CMS activities completed on time
• A professionally assessed technically competent team.
Professional Knowledge & Experience:
• Qualifications – Bachelor Degree in Engineering, HSE, Sciences or equivalent

• Certifications & training
- Work Permit System & Gas Tester, H2S
- Internationally recognized Diplomas in HSE or Security related subjects including:
- Risk Assessment
- Incident Response and Investigation
- HSE Auditing
- NEBOSH, IOSH or industry equivalent qualifications

• Professional Experience
- 15 years of experience in managing in the O&G industry with at least 5 years experience as an HSE supervisor, including development and implementation of management systems and training
- Extensive experience in oil and gas development projects from design through procurement, manufacturing, fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning.
- Strong experience in managing rig contractors and service providers SSHE interfaces
