The Company:
Our Client is one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies. The Role:
• Review operations programs and supervises implementation of these programs
• Control the activity of contractors and supervisors
• Personally supervise delicate or risky operations to achieve a safe operation
• Optimize operations in relation to engineering, geology and reservoir entities
• Optimize rig equipment in relation with contractors
• Analyze the instantaneous data
• Anticipate potential problems and plan alternative strategies and contingencies
• Compose and review operating procedures
• Ensure the reliability of technical information
• Ensure or control daily and final reporting of wells or of operations
• Participate in the production of technical and operational reports
• Conduct or check costs follow-up
• Participate in the preparation of invitations to tender and service/equipment contracts
• Optimize the activities of service providers and assess their performance
• Ensure the respect of safety rules and environment rules
• Anticipate needs and organize and coordinate supply of equipment and materials to site.
• Contribute to the improvement of skills and the team
• Evaluate job holders
• Participate in budget preparation
• Train, coach and mentor job holders to enable enhanced skills to be developed and applied

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The job holder should be educated to degree level or hold a similar HNC obtained via qualified industry training. They must demonstrate significant ability through both experience and proven achievements in drilling, completion and work-over operations.

The job holder must be a drilling and wells professional who has gained the requisite expertise through extensive and continuous training. They must have wide operational experience on offshore drilling rigs, logistics and simultaneous operations. They must also hold significant knowledge/experience of drilling related equipment, cost control and follow-up on environmental safety, risk assessment, and certifications.

Valid offshore certification (BOSIET & MIST) and up to date medical essential.

Additional certification required: Drilling Well Control Programme, Combined Surface & Subsea BOP Stack Level 4.
