The Company:
An oil and gas operator

The Role:
-Establish quality working relationship with all directional drillers to facilitate the transfer of best practices across client's rig fleet with the goal of improving client's drilling efficiency.
-Improve drilling efficiency and consistency of curves and laterals.
-Reduce directional drilling associated NPT, reduce motor/MWD failures, achieve one BHA curves and achieve one BHA laterals.

JOB FUNCTION:
-Phase 1, improve curve performance.
-Phase 2, improve lateral performance.
-Establish drilling parameter best practice and technique for drilling the curve section. Auto driller settings, drilling parameters, BHA design, rotate/slide plan, connection practices.
-Travel to rigs to assist with the actual drilling of curve section. Develop a culture with the directional drillers where they understand the value of real time data monitoring.
-Establish forward projection planning best practice to eliminate downtime waiting on surveys, projections, etc.
-Improve lateral performance.
Transfer auto-driller best practices across all rigs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience in directional drilling
-Must have Compass software and Excel experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience in directional drilling working for an operator in onshore shale
