The Role:
Provides technical support to the drilling engineering team, managing a significant amount of operational / regulatory reporting, IT data, technical data, database, spreadsheet modelling and cost reporting information to keep the drilling team working efficiently.

MAIN TASKS

General Support

• Production and maintenance of drawings, charts, spreadsheets, presentations, reports (ad- hoc and regular) and Project Plans using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project as required in support of the Aberdeen Operations Team
• Production of completion diagrams using the standard proprietary software
• Monthly Reporting: Updates to Corporate Rig Schedule, Budget Cost Status and HSE Statistics
• IT point of contact for the Aberdeen Operations Team

Well Planning & Operations

Prioritisation of tasks as required by the Operations Team in Aberdeen

• Production of AFE time vs depth and cost charts as required
• Compilation of historical and Rushmore data queries as required
• Compilation of offset well design information, charts, plots etc as required
• Production of performance related presentation material as required
• Generation of presentation material as required for meetings
• Document reformatting as required to meet compliance with company document control system
• Supporting role in the organisation of offsite meetings as required by the Wells Team Leader
• Support the Operations Team in the timely distribution of key documentation eg Drilling Programme
• Compilation of the weekly HSE Operations Report
• Compilation of the weekly management performance report and supporting spreadsheets
• Monthly update for JV Partner reports
• Monitoring daily drilling report data for coding errors and omissions, recognizing uncoded non-productive time and liaison with the offshore company representatives to update and recode reports
• Focal point for the efficient distribution of daily reports between rig and the onshore team
• Focal point for the distribution of data to joint venture partners as advised by the Operations Geologist and SDE Operations
• Assisting with Daily Cost Tracking (including verification of daily costs where possible)
• Productive of drawings such as Well Status Diagrams
• Ad-hoc invoice tracking / verification / management with Finance team if necessary
• Distribution of weekend duty information to all parties

Post Well Actions
• Compile the data for the End of Well Report
• Creation / update of the Well DCR record
• Update the Well Status Database
• Rushmore data submission and queries

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications to HND level in a technical discipline as minimum or equivalent industry experience.
Standard / Higher Grade in Maths & English.
Significant relevant oil & gas industry experience.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and to be able to appreciate and understand key issues and manage them accordingly to meet deadlines.
Solid IT skills, including intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Good planning and organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
