The Role:
Job Purpose:

To supervise and monitor DRT Performance Drilling Tools (PDT) operations and operate tools as the Junior Engineer, at customer locations. Perform, review and validate advanced drilling operations, drilling parameters and hydraulic calculations using appropriate software. Learns the technical skills requisites of the function through training and under the mentorship of the Lead Field Engineer.

Assist workshop personnel in the preparation and testing of PDT equipment. Expected to follow a specified learning plan that will include various computer-based learning modules as well as classroom training. During this phase, may also take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the supervisor.


Duties:

Supervise and monitor operations for performance drilling tools and/or service tools at a client location.
Verifies all necessary equipment and supplies are shipped to and arrive at wellsite in proper working condition.
Validate JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for wellsite operations.
Performs pre and post job analysis and reporting.
Enter job reports to ensure accuracy, utilizing OPMS (Operations Performance Management System) documents and Performance Tracking System.
Skilled in locating relevant supporting documentation (e.g. Technical specifications, Running Procedures) for performing well operations including SharePoint and the Companies Intranet.
Assist in corrective and preventive actions (CPAR’s/OFI’s) as related to field and workshop performance improvements.
Participate with CAT (Corrective Action Teams) teams to implement corrective/preventive actions.
Complete training and competency plan as set out in the position within company guidelines.
Available on a 24 hours call basis to respond to customer needs.
Know and understand Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of different types of rigs including drilling and workover rigs.
Have a good general knowledge of performance drilling tools (PDT), including jars, slingers, accelerators, bumper subs, circulation subs, conventional Underreamers and Hole Openers.
Have a good knowledge of RFID technology
Have a good knowledge of drilling systems including rotary, rotary steerable, positive displacement motor (PDM) and turbines.
Familiar with BHA design and components.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge oilfield mathematics calculations including volumes, pressures, forces, and basic hydraulics.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of field operations including but not limited to drilling and borehole enlargement operations.

Valid passport
Valid driving licence

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Completed high school education with strong emphasis on science and/or mechanical related disciplines

Preferred:
Engineering Degree - preferred Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering
