The Company:
They are an international oil and gas company with operated production of about 625,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. They produce oil and gas in Denmark, the UK, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Brazil and Algeria. Exploration activities are ongoing in Angola, Norway, the US Gulf of Mexico, Greenland and in the producing countries

The Role:
The Houston office is currently seeking a DTU Project Manager to join the Implementation and Execution Group.

Overall responsibility for delivery of DTU – planning, contracting strategy, engineering, interfaces, procurement, fabrication, transportation and installation.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Coordinate engineering, fabrication and installation activities associated with the concept development and Invitation to Tender (ITT) Package for the Chissonga Dry Tree Unit (DTU). Upon issuance of the ITT package, the position will coordinate technical feedback to the bidders on the tender submission and answer bidder queries with regard to equipment, fabrication and installation requirements. After award of the DTU contract the position will re-locate to the successful DTU contractor’s engineering office and oversee the DTU contract execution through detailed engineering.

Specific responsibilities relative to the Project Maturation Process (PMP) are as follows:

• Develop field layouts and provide input to the overall concept selection process for Chissonga.
• Develop technical documentation, field layouts, and specifications for the Chissonga Dry Tree Unit (DTU) scope of work.
• Interface with the production and drilling groups to ensure the DTU meets long term customer requirements.
• Manage engineering contractor resources evaluating various technical aspects of the project.
• Develop a baseline cost and schedule for the project execution phase.
• Develop a DTU local content plan.
• Proactively participate in risk management, HSE, interface management, and other multidisciplinary work tasks.
• Manage the tendering process for the DTU scope of work.
• Build the client DTU project management and engineering team.
• Act as an Incident and Injury Free role model for the contractor.
• Co-locate the DTU team with the DTU contractor’s project execution team.
• Actively lead interface management activities between the DTU contractor and other groups.
• Provide main interface point between the DTU team and the Drilling group.
• Manage the engineering design and administer the DTU contract.
• Manage contractor engineering and fabrication activities in Angola and at international fabrication sites.
• Ensure DTU contractor delivers a facility which meets all of the client's technical requirements.
• Coordinate DTU installation activities with other Chissonga work groups.
• Deliver the DTU contract in-line with project objectives.
• Handover the DTU to the drilling and operations teams.
• Complete all project documentation.
• De-man the DTU team.
• Assist operations and drilling teams with top-tensioned riser installation activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelors in Engineering as minimum. Master’s in Engineering desirable.
• 10+ years Management experience with large offshore contracts
• Familiarity with project management tools and demonstrated PM methodology experience
• Strong team-working and interpersonal/ communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multidisciplinary team environment
• Technical knowledge of floating systems
• Interface management experience, within facilities, and across other functions, especially Drilling
• Experience in delivery from planning to installation of a dry tree unit, preferably a Tension Leg Platform is desirable
• Candidate must be willing to potentially relocate overseas for an extended duration (24-36 months) and be willing to frequently travel internationally.
