The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Drive best in class quality into the build of our engines. Applying clear standards to measure function, performance and build quality of all engine variants manufactured at the EMC. Drive improvements in production through clear feedback on engine testing analysis. Aiding in defining root cause and countermeasure activities. Rig and de-rig engines Maintain a centre of excellence for testing and reporting. Working in partnership with all facets of the organisation to achieve or supersede KPI targets Investigate product quality issues with cross functional teams Facilitate continuous improvement and learning across all functional areas through the training and communication of quality initiatives. Routinely review data and maintain statistical and testing reports. Ensure internal and external audit compliance to standards including TS16949 and ISO 14001. Take part in the development and delivery of specific Quality training. Work closely with Teardown / Warranty to identify and resolve production and quality system deficiencies

Skills Required:

Time served in an indentured apprenticeship industry recognised training scheme
•Knowledge of measurement and co-ordinate systems is essential.
•Proven Experience working in a high precision production environment
•Working knowledge of precision Dynamometer processes Understanding or familiarity with automotive systems, practices and procedures.
•Experience of working to tight deadlines in a high volume production environment and use of investigative techniques to identify and solve problems
•Working knowledge of the application and delivery of measurement systems and equipment
•MS Office skills experienced using Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as diagram.
•There will be the occasional requirement for UK and international travel to other sites, and gauging and equipment suppliers for short durations as demanded by the role
•Desirable Green Belt trained (preferable)
•Educated to HNC/HND level in Mechanical or Production Engineering (preferable)
