The Role:
About the role


This position supports the Financial Controller and is responsible for month-end close duties, reporting, and other ad-hoc analysis as required by the business.



Key accountabilities


- Supports the E&P Controller in the day to day business understanding, governance and accounting for the E&P business
- Manages interactions and ensures effective relationships exist with all stakeholders (JV partners, Asset, TVP)
- Helps maintain a robust control environment in compliance with Group and Asset FCA processes
- Responsible for the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of E&P accounting records
- Responsible for Opex and G&A reporting as well as any other ad-hoc reporting, including all processes and system requirements to ensure integrity of this reporting
- Other responsibilities as required by the business

Knowledge, Languages, Skills and Attributes:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
- CPA qualification preferred
- Disciplined, organized and highly motivated
- Able to work effectively with limited supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to review existing processes and suggest improvements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to care and concern for team members
- Strong analytical skills

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience in SAP environment preferred
- Internal reporting experience required
- Communication and relationship building
- Leadership experience desirable
- E&P experience (shale gas experience preferred)
