The Role:
• Responsible for the safety, quality and timely completion of the fabrication work. This includes participation in constructability reviews during design phase; fabricator I contractor selection and prequalification; supervision of the fabrication, through mechanical completion and preparation for commissioning.
• The E& I Construction lead will have overall responsibility for all on site construction within the ‘white trade’ disciplines, i.e. Electrical, Instruments, Fire & Gas Detection, Controls and Telecom. This will include assisting in the updating and further development of the Construction Execution Plan, identifying any deviations from the agreed scope or premises of the project, assessing their impact and ensuring remedial action during the construction planning and execution.
• The E & I Construction lead hall bring specialist skills and be competent in supervising all work associated with the assigned object(s) at both Contractor offices and at the Construction field offices.
• Ensure that Company HSE&Q policies and procedures are adhered to in all phases of the work.
• General HSE follow-up and monitoring during all phases of the project
• Provide constructability input into the complete EPC process
• Provide experience input into the construction methodology and scheduling process to ensure a realistic schedule is produced and maintained
• Lead a team of Construction Supervisors and Inspectors, working within the 'White' trades (electrical, instruments, Fire and Gas Detection, Controls and Telecommunications), to ensure that the DN Topsides are constructed as per the design requirements and to the quality standard necessary for compliance with Norwegian Authorities and Company requirements
• Liaise with MC Lead to plan and execute DN involvement in the MC process
• Assist Construction Superintendent to help ensure that the 'white' trades construction work is completed on time and with a 'seamless' transfer over to the Commissioning team
• Proactive involvement in planning and execution of an induction and training program as required to ensure Contractors supervisors and operators are qualified to execute the scope of work to the client's specifications and Norwegian regulations
• Provide input to weekly as well as monthly reports as required by the project
• Provide supervision on all aspects of E&I related activities from closed follow up with vendors / suppliers during the fabrication stages, FAT’s, receiving inspections, installation, preservation, hook-up through Mechanical Completion and preparation of pre commissioning and commissioning activities.

• Good communication skills
• Min 15 years' relevant (E/I/T) experience of construction of large North Sea projects
• Experience with construction and completion of EPC contracts
• Experience with construction of Topsides projects to Norwegian regulations (NORSOK)
• Regulatory competence for the petroleum industry
• Working experience with SE Asian contractors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University degree or equivalent within engineering & construction
Less formal education may be compensated with documented relevant experience
