Job Title: E-Procurement Specialist

Rate/Salary: Negotiable

The Company:
Our client, a major energy operator, seeks a E-Procurement Specialist to join their team.

The Role:
• Effective procurement of goods primarily and services as appropriate in order to meet specific business and end-user needs. E Sourcing
• Managing the relationship and process of delivery by ensuring that the goods or services are delivered to the right place at the right time, within the most appropriate contractual framework.
Ensure that best value for money is obtained from procurement events, with significant contributions towards achievement of cost-reduction strategies.
• Development of contracting strategies, drafting Invitations to Tender and RFQ’s, the negotiation and implementation of Contracts and Framework Agreements, and more widely offering procurement support and advice to all end-users within the business.
• An important aspect of this role will be the ability to build key stakeholder relationships, ensuring the requirements of the end-customer are met.
• The work involves the evaluation of goods and services based on price, quality, services support, availability, reliability, trend and selection.
• Proven effectiveness using an e-Sourcing system
Managing allocated procurement events to deliver against an agreed Procurement Plan.
• Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors
• Negotiating and agreeing contracts in compliance with Procurement Directives and Procurement Policy
• Develop and maintain an up to date knowledge of appropriate EU Procurement legislation, policies and procedures, ensuring their correct application in any Procurement Event
• Liaising with key stakeholders, both internal customers and external suppliers.
• Facilitate quarterly contract reviews on all key contracts in conjunction with the relevant Contract Managers/Stakeholders.
Monitoring progress of various existing contracts
• Conducting research to ascertain market trends and needs
Producing reports and statistics using computer-based programs
Conducting presentations about market analyses and possible growth
• Keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future
Checking cost, quality and levels of service
• Ensuring suppliers are mutually aware of business objectives
Liaising with Finance to ensure correct payment mechanisms are in place

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Five years relevant Procurement experience in the oil and gas industry
• BA or MA Degree
• Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills
Experience, or good working knowledge of : Ariba, e-Sourcing system
• Strong Industry awareness
• A good standard of numeracy, to be able to analyze facts and figures and then make sense of them within a business context
Strong negotiation skills and networking ability
• The ability to make important decisions and to cope with pressure from meeting demanding targets and tight deadlines
