E&I Engineer - Thai Nationality

The Role:
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all electrical & instrument and control systems on the topside facilities of Wellhead Platform of Construction Project.
• Participates and full fill the technical requirements of the electrical, instrument and control parts along with the tendering process from the project strategy, shortlist until RTA.
• Leads the engineering contractor team to complete the electrical, instrumentation and control tasks during the conceptual, designed basis and RFQ (of the long lead items) for EPCI package.
• Oversees/Supervises the EPCI Contractor to carry out the detailed engineering, equipment/ material specifications, procurement strategies, procurement packages, fabrication, functional test, load-out, sea fastening, transportation, installation, hook-up, offshore commissioning and system tests.
• Verifies the interfaces with the process, gas pipeline, safety, machinery, equipment on topside Facilities, and etc.
• Prepares the procurement strategies and participates in the procurement processes to obtain the most appropriated vendors to provide their equipment, materials and services. His/Her work includes the bidder list reviews, equipment/material specifications, evaluations, service orders/contracts, recommendation, vendor’s inspection and test plans (ITP), logistic and delivery.
• Monitors and appraises the performance of the contractors. Initiates and implements the corrective actions when the performance of the contractor deviates from the project direction/requirements.
• Participates the FAT, SAT, hook up, pre-commissioning and commissioning work to comply with the specifications, procedures and codes/standards.
• Reports the progress of the construction/modification works to a line supervisor. Identifies the problem areas, solving and suggests the appropriated solutions/actions to a line supervisor as necessary.
• Coaches, motivate, and develop the junior professionals and share knowledge to team.
• Promotes and ensures an effective implementation of SSHE rules and engineering best practices.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Electrical and/or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
• At least 7 years experience in the design and construction of the large construction project, especially instrumentation, control and telecommunication systems.
• At least 7 years in upstream oil and gas industry.
• Has strongly knowledge in the engineering/design, especially the E&I equipment, electrical/instrument cables process controls, emergency shutdowns, fire & gas system, fiscal gas & condensate metering, PLC, SACDA, interface requirements, specifications, codes & standards.
• Good command of written and spoken English. Good interpersonal skills.
