MAIN FUNCTIONS
• Oversee site contractor during Hook-up Phase on a discipline basis
• Provide the interface between the Contractors work face and the Hook-up Lead

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in early site hook-up planning/interface (E&I) with contractor prior to offshore mobilization
• Prepare, review and approve E&I job cards
• Serve as day-to-day interface with contractor/craft labor (through Contractor Superintendents and/or Foreman) during the hook-up phase, providing focus
on safety, quality, cost, and schedule
 Provide safety monitoring/leadership
 Interface with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues/progress related to E&I
 Provide oversight of contractor’s materials management/verification systems
 Ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans
 Monitor workforce productivities/progress relative to schedule
 Monitor environmental compliance (e.g. spills, debris removal, etc.), as required
 Interface with contractor for field level changes (e.g., scope, costs, etc.)
 Oversee inspection of installed electrical power, control & instrumentation devices, equipment/instrument cabling, tubing and terminations.
 Oversee cable megger testing, protective relay calibration and MCC installations.
• Serve as liaison with Hook-up Lead on barriers/emerging issues
• Provide mechanical completion oversight/verification (e.g. work completion)
• Expedite the mechanical completion phase and transition to final Commissioning via base work and punch list completion
• Coordinate Contractor Construction Superintendents and/or Foremen
• Coordinate Quality Audits with Quality Lead

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Understands the National Electric Code (NEC), GOST standards, API RPs (with regard to I&E) and can verify that wiring and installations are performed according to procedures, specifications, codes, & standards.
• Understanding of high, medium and low voltage power distribution systems, switchgear and motor control centers design and construction; understanding of control instrumentation design and construction (pneumatic and electronic).
• Trained & experienced in electrical & instrumentation installation inspection. Knowledgeable in quality assurance.
• Effective oral & written skills.
• Competent PC skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, & E-mail systems)
• High School degree and/or Technical School
• 10-15 (20 preferred) years site experience.
