The Company:
Our Client has been involved in Angola since the 1970s. They have built a strong foundation for long term growth through both exploration and development success and they hold a strong position in nine major deepwater licenses.

The Role:
***Please note this position is only offering 1.5 days per week at this stage, although this could increase later on***

Excellent day rates available.

Duties & Responsibilities

Principle areas of responsibility:

Responsible for monitoring and reporting Quality Assurance and Quality Control aspects of contracted work scope package(s).

Typical activities to be conducted include; ensuring compliance to Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plan and other QA/QC documentation; verifying that all equipment production and testing is performed in accordance with the contract requirements.


• Work in accordance with Contract specifications / ETPs / Applicable Standards and statutory requirements.
• Take Proactive HSSE leadership role and demonstrate same by example.
• Participate in site Emergency and evacuation drills
• Notify management immediately of all incidents or hazardous situations which come to their attention
• Monitor and report on Subcontractor / Supplier compliance with key quality procedures and documentation relating to Contract work packages, ensuring Subcontractor / Supplier conformity with contract quality requirements, relevant Codes/Standards and good practice.
• Oversee the work package scope within the parameters of the approved project documentation, quality plans, and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Witness and report on Subcontractor / Supplier performance, perform general inspections including: material receiving inspection / documentation and certificate review, in -process manufacturing inspection review interventions, Testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), punchlisting, as-built preparation, and final documentation review and equipment release all in compliance with the requirements of Contract GoC specification.
• Identify areas of concern and report on Quality problems as they arise. Assist in determining root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
• Any other activities requested by the Project Quality Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualification / Experience Requirements

• Substantial quality management and manufacturing experience in the Oil/Gas, Petrochemical Industries.
• Must have good working experience in contractor / supplier quality management process, materials and manufacturing routines.
• Recognized Qualification Electrical/Instrument Engineering, sound knowledge of Codes and Standards.
• Valid CompEx (or equivalent) Certificate.
• Hawke Cable Gland Training Course
• Sound knowledge of tubing installations including Parker A-Lok and MPI fittings.
• Minimum academic qualification mechanical or equivalent (ONC)
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word / Excel
• Internal Quality Auditor.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience on Inspection of Offshore Topsides facilities involving:-
• Inspection of electrical, instrumentation & telecoms installation
• Cable testing
• Installation of “Ex” certified equipment.
• “Detailed” Inspection of “Ex” certified equipment in accordance with IEC 60079
