The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
My operator client has a requirement for a Site I and E Quality Engineer who will be required to directly assist the Site E / I Quality Manager – EEHA on technical matters. This includes providing support to the site Quality team with technical expertise, liaising with site Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and the Perth Quality teams.

BWI site team is responsible for overseeing the site contractor’s execution of work via surveillance of the contractor’s quality team including verification of their inspection reports. Additionally the role includes tutorial responsibilities being able to train / teach and assist the contractor as required.


•Provide instrument, electrical, telecoms and EEHA site technical support to the Site E / I Quality Manager and inspector team. Ensure compliance with project specification and AS codes, raise inspection / surveillance reports as required. ITR assistance as required for A and B.
•Manage I&E non-conformance reports (NCRs) including NCR status reporting to support sub-system/system turnover.
•Site interface for EEHA compliance.
•Perform reviews of contractor inspection test plans (ITPs) and inspection test report templates (ITRs).
•Perform reviews of contractor and vendor quality documentation.
•Perform technical field reviews and attend system walk downs.
•Promote safety awareness (IIF) and safe performance example among project team members and all contractor personnel. This would include participation in IIF training at site.

The role will be based on Barrow Island and is on a 28/28 day rotation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Current Australian working rights
The successful candidate will have Quality Assurance / Quality Control and project execution experience in instrumentation and electrical disciplines with a sound knowledge of explosion protection requirements (EEHA).
Candidate shall have instrumentation or electrical degree, or advanced diploma level qualifications with experience in the oil and gas industry.
Ability to trouble shoot and perform investigative analysis is required.
The ability to train and mentor personnel in instrumentation and electrical skills is required.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
EEHA certified competencies would be advantageous but not essential.
Construction camp and ‘back to back’ experience would be an advantage.
