The Company:
Our client is a leading European operator with exploration and production projects in over 15 countries globally. To assist with a continued investment in UK projects on both an operated and non-operated basis we are now looking to recruit an experienced cost professional into the role of E&P Projects Controller to be based at their office in London

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following activities:

• Manage and coordinate budgets and proposals for investment projects – to include exploration, new ventures and operated / non-operated assets.
• Preparation of investment proposals
• Responsible for planning and preparation of project budgets
• Monitoring asset budgets and the allocation of incurred costs
• Assist in corporate and financial planning
• Link between the Development Projects and Finance departments carrying out when required quality checks
• Managing budget and investment information flow between departments
• Prepare and deliver Project budget and investment performance reports
• Ensure monthly actual expenditures are accurately captured for each project
• Support the annual budget and planning process for operated fields, non-operated fields, development projects
• Oversee invoice management utilising SAP and WBS software

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore keen to speak with candidates eligible to work in the UK and with the following skills:

• Degree educated – preferably obtained within a business or financial related discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a cost control or investment role working for an oil and gas company
• Previous involvement and cost management of E&P projects to include new investments and operated assets
• General accounting and budgeting knowledge including IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
• Excellent communication skills
