The Role:
Brief Description:
Ensure the safe design and quality build of the Early Works Programme (EWP) scope within the onshore Project work scope

• Ensure the safe design and quality build of the EWP scope within the onshore Project work scope
• Lead the project delivery team through engineering, procurement, and execution of the EWP and ensure safe execution in line with Project performance standards of safety, quality, schedule and cost
• Demonstrate HSSE leadership by example. Set the highest standards of personal and process safety across the EWP scope and ensure procedures and systems are in place to sustain them
• Ensure clear measurement and reporting systems are in place to monitor project progress and foster a culture of openness within project team and contractors
• Represent Company’s standards and expectations to the EPC contractor and sub-contractors and ensure that high quality contracts are implemented to ensure successful project delivery
• Ensure safe and successful delivery of the EWP scope, aligned with Company’s key drivers of quality and safety and with clear performance standards on schedule and cost
• Recruit, develop and maintain a high quality multi-disciplined project team and ensure the project meets with the requirements of Company’s CVP (Capital Value Process) at all stages
• Ensure continual clarity on priorities and provide the overall context for the EWP scope within project
• Manage internal and external communications and interfaces
• Coordinate closely with drilling and onshore facilities project teams to ensure clarity of scope and seamless project execution planning
• Ensure that Company’s project assurance processes are implemented across the EWPscope project, and that regular reviews are carried out to ensure compliance

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• At minimum Bachelor Degree in engineering from reputable university
• A minimum of 15 years relevant experience in major oil and gas capital projects, at least 8 years at project management level
• Proven track record of managing major EPC work scopes ($US>100MM) for a client or PSC company, preferably onshore Proven track record in the engineering, procurement and execution of major onshore civil works and marine infrastructures -Proven track record of the implementation of assurance processes to manage large capital projects
• Ability to demonstrate effective project management and leadership skills in multi-national teams
• Proven track record in setting expectations and delivering high standards of HSSE performance
• Advanced understanding of business drivers and the ability to align project goals
• Advanced understanding of costs (capital, operating, life cycle) and estimating techniques,
• Track record in the performance management of Contractors responsible for ma

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Highly self motivated with a strong bias to define and accomplish goals
• Knowledgeable in developing and motivating a project team, particularly in multi-national and multi-cultural environments
• Knowledgeable or willing to learn and champion company internal processes and procedures
• Promotes a positive team environment and fosters a culture of openness within the team
