The Role:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager the post holder is a site discipline engineer who provides flexible support in the Operations and Maintenance department to meet the assets objectives in an efficient and safe manner.

The role will provide the interface between Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and the dedicated Engineering resource.

The role will involve assisting in determining technical solutions and improvements associated with technology within your discipline.

The successful applicant will:
* Provide effective and flexible support to meet the site engineering requirements of the operational assets.
* Support the operations and maintenance department (O&M) from an engineering perspective.
* Responsible for the development and implementation of discipline site engineering procedures.

Principal accountabilities will be:

Ensure Assets are maintained in accordance with industry best practice and technical standards
* In your discipliance ensure maintenance records are received and stored correctly.
* Ensure technical standards are adhered to on site in your discipline by:
o Auditing of completed maintenance according to schedule.
o Ensuring integrity of spares from a quality perspective through close liaising with O&M resource.
o Completing condition assessments and component inspections as appropriate.

Identify plant actual and potential underperformance and propose sustainable solutions (efficiency and reliability)
o Investigation of asset related failures and consequential impact on equipment associated with your discipline.
o Report asset related failures on equipment related to your discipline to EI in accordance with agreed procedures where necessary.
o Implement any asset performance report actions associated with your discipline.
o Monitor condition monitoring systems associated with your discipline (inspections etc)
o Support Routine Centered Maintenance activities and implement actions as appropriate.
o Manage the Technical Query procedures from a site engineering perspective for your discipline.
o Propose modifications and manage change control procedures from a site engineering perspective for your discipline.

Review, advise and support operational activities to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with Engineering Integrity principles
o Provide general day to day engineering support to O&M team.
o Manage the Technical Query procedures from a site engineering perspective for your discipline.
o Propose modifications and manage the change control procedures from a site engineering perspective for your discipline.
o Liaise with O&M for effective management for the strategic and routine spares.

Provide quality information and recommendations to key stakeholders
o Manage (update) the Plant Status documentation.

Proactively seek out new technology to stay ahead of the game
o Liaise with other stakeholders regarding the technology within your discipline through industry forums such as User Groups, conferences and review of market literature.
