The Role:
Reporting to the EGSP Commissioning Manager, supporting control of work on the project during the construction phase and supporting the commissioning testing programme through to start-up.

The post holder will be part of the team delivering Control of Work for the project construction programme, including building and issuing Work Control Certificates (permits). In addition, the post holder will assist in the development and implementation of commissioning procedures and support the delivery of the project training programme. Particular accountabilities will include:

•Building and issuing WCCs, ensuring that the appropriate level of risk assessment has been carried out and that controls have been put in place prior to work commencing.
•Ensure those performing work are exhibiting appropriate behaviours and understanding of the activity through a combination of pre-task discussions, site visits, Toolbox Talks etc.
•Participate in the design and implementation of isolations and commissioning / process release procedures
•Engage with the existing operations team and support delivery of site familiarisation & training

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Experience in the petrochemicals industry
•‘Hands on’ experience conducting control of work activities in an Operations or Maintenance capacity
•Understanding of key regulatory requirements relevant to control of work activities such as confined space entry, hot work, control of hazardous energy, excavations etc.
•Commitment to the highest standards of HSE
•A strong bias for action
•Good communication skills
•Basic computer literacy
•Strong teamworking skills
