The Role:
Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, the M&P Commissioning Lead will be a key member of the project commissioning team, developing and implementing commissioning procedures and liaising with specialist vendors as required.

The post holder will focus on the mechanical & piping commissioning scope, but with potential to extend the role to incorporate start-up and operations readiness activities to suit the post holder’s experience and development needs. Accountabilities will include:

•Developing discipline commissioning procedures for the project scope
•Witness key stages in construction activity and accept handover of discipline scope as complete
•Lead the implementation of the commissioning procedures on site
•Identify requirements for specialist support services, develop scopes of work and act as focal point for vendors as required
•Contribute to the development of the Inspection & Testing Plan, ensuring certification requirements are appropriately defined for commissioning scope and are delivered

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Relevant mechanical / piping discipline experience and qualifications
•Experience as a commissioning or operations engineer in the petrochemical industry
•Prior experience of writing commissioning or operating procedures
•Commitment to the highest standards of HSE
•Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
•Strong planning, organisational and teamworking skills
