The Role:
Our client, a leading international Oil & Gas E&P company are looking to appoint an experienced HSE Advisor for their team in London. The role will involve some international travel and reporting to the Senior HSE Lead this person will be responsible for supporting the delivery of HSE requirements for overseas business units.

It is essential that the successful candidate must have corporate HSE experience from working with an oil & gas operator / exploration and production company.

Working closely with Business, Exploration and Country Managers, key contractors, JV Partners, industry bodies and HSE Consultants and Specialists, the key responsibilities will include:
* Support corporate HSE activities across the relevant business units
* Monitor compliance with HSE policies & procedures, recommending corrective or improvement actions as required
* Manage HSE permits & consent processes
* Develop & maintain country or project specific HSE documents and plans
* Provide HSE input to contracting and procurement processes as required
* Facilitate and participate in risk assessment activities
* Liaise with JV Partners and key contractor HSE personnel
* Coordinate tracking and close out of HSE corrective and improvement actions in the area of operations

Key skills/attributes:
* Degree qualified
* NEBOSH qualification
* A minimum of 5 years experience in oil & gas exploration & production is essential
* Offshore upstream project experience from the oil & gas industry is essential
* Previous North or West Africa project experience very highly desirable.
* French speaking is advantageous but not essential

* Capable of working with multi disciplinary teams in often fast changing environments
* Demonstrate knowledge of technical HSE
* Capable of transferring knowledge and developing practices throughout the business
* Understands the commercial impact of maintaining high HSE standards
* A resilience to overcome potential obstacles
