The Role:
Principal Accountabilities:-
Supervise diving operations ensuring they comply with industry dive management systems and legal requirements of HSE & AODC (Association Offshore Diving Contractors) in accordance with IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association recommendation.
Ensure all diving equipment for valid-in-date certification and to ensure their suitability intended projects
Ensure divers’ competence and fitness on a regular basis
Update logs, keep records and prepare accurate reports in compliance with Company and IMCA standards
Monitor safety of diving/ROV operations
Promote positive HSE culture by being a leading example.
Ensure that all foreseeable risks have been evaluated and fully understood by all relevant parties.
To implement hazards action, risk assessment and conduct safety inspections that are in compliance with IMCA and Company codes and HSE standards.
Responsible for the necessary training that are required for the diving teams.
To ensure ‘STOP WORK’ if the work is considered unsafe to continue or there has been a serious of breach of the Contract or not in compliance with IMCA, Company codes and HSE standards; and to continue would result in safety issues.

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in the diving industry offshore inclusive of 5 years of experience as diver and 3 years of experience as offshore air diver supervisor.
• Familiarity with Malaysian State Regulations and PMU Requirements.
• Ability to demonstrate a proven hands on approach with the requisite site field craft skills to positively influence EHS performance.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with effective oral and written communication
• Working knowledge of key EHS activities, for example, PTW, inspections, Job Risk Assessments, Incident Investigation, Behavioural Base Programs.
• Possess direct technical EHS knowledge of key high risk activities such as scaffolding, welding, heavy lifts and marine activities.
• Basic knowledge of operation of DP(Dynamic Positioning) systems, construction barges and DSV (Diver Support Vessel)
• Must be proficient with IMCA code of practice and work standards
• Willing to work offshore for extended period of time
• Exposure to international experience an advantage
Education/Training
• Holds a valid saturation diving certificate recognised by IMCA
• A valid HSE Part 1 or equivalent.
• A valid IMCA - Module 2 and IMCA - Air Diving Supervisor certificate.
• A current & valid offshore medical certificate and offshore survival certificate, namely MS-BOSET, Tropical BOSIET and/or OPITO certification.
• Physically fit enough to pass valid offshore survival course
