The Company:
Our Client is one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe.

The Role:
Provide EHS functional support for the Development based on the functional requirements of both the and Corporate SSEA functional teams

Develop Development specific management system documentation, based on the IMS, EHS&AP management system and other documentation

Develop and manage Development EHS induction process

Develop and manage Development EHS programmes and initiatives e.g. malaria awareness, safety rules, Observation and Intervention etc

Develop and monitor Development EHS KPIs, ensure appropriate EHS auditing and inspection and coordinate tracking and close-out of EHS corrective and improvement actions.

Monitor compliance with EHS policies & procedures and recommend corrective or improvement action

Develop and Manage key EHS Contracts for the delivery of Technical Safety Studies

Liaise with EHS&AP team in the development of the supplementary EIA and any material change to the existing Safety Case

Coordinate submission of the supplementary EIA and Permitting process with the EHS&AP Team

Provide EHS input to Contracting & Procurement processes, as required

Develop and maintain Project specific EHS documents (e.g. EHS Plans, local ER Plans etc.)

Manage and input to Development of HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP; and changes to Formal Safety Assessments, QRA and Safety Case

Assist EHS&AP Team in liaison with Regulators and other key external Stakeholders

Develop and implement a Development incident reporting & investigation process and coordinate entries into Emex as appropriate

Liaise with EHS personnel in Contractor organisations and participate in the development of appropriate bridging documentation

Support the implementation of local ER and oil spill arrangements and ensure adequate provision of personnel and facilities

Monthly compilation and reporting of EHS information and statistics for the Development.

Budgetary control of EHS consultancy and delivery contracts

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in an engineering or EHS related subject.

Alternatively NEBOSH general certificate or higher (international diploma), equivalent qualifications considered.

Oil and gas sector experience with EHS in a major project environment.
