The Company:
Our client is one of the largest providers of energy consultancy and engineering support services in the Uk. Within the nuclear sector they have an exceptional reputation for delivering innovative, cost-effective business and engineering solutions to owners, operators, regulators and suppliers to nuclear licensed sites.

The Role:
Our client has an opportunity for Electrical & Controls System Design Engineers to work at Capenhurst, Chester area on a temporary basis for an initial period of 6 months to start as soon as possible. Project duration likely to be 2 years.

The project will focus on the coordination and update of plant drawings and will require design background gained in a highly regulated plant environment.

We have positions available at various levels from Electrical/Controls Systems CAD Technician level up to Electrical/Controls Systems Principal Design Engineer.

Nuclear industry experience would be an advantage however we are principally looking for first class Electrical & Control Systems Engineers who have the capacity to learn and develop their skills for the nuclear industry.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We would expect you to have relevant experience within a highly regulated nuclear sector with the following experience and qualifications:
Qualified to a minimum of HNC level and preferably have a good relevant engineering degree and be able to demonstrate sound technical experience in some of the following areas:
Conventional/nucleonic instrumentation.
Safety Instrumented Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, Fire Detection Systems.
Safety standards (IEC 61508, 61511, 61513), SIL categorisation & safety lifecycle.
Previous nuclear power station or nuclear industry experience.
Availability, Reliability & Maintainability.
Automation system design.
Electrical Distribution Design.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally the candidate will already hold full SC clearance
