The Company:
A major, international oil and gas company

The Role:
This is a 28/28 rotation position, onshore based.

Duties:
•Observe safe working practices within the facility and workshop areas and ensure that applicable safety procedures and regulations are observed.
•Ensures that all installation, isolation and repair work is carried out according to the applicable codes of practice and operating management system.
•Perform maintenance, repair and testing of a wide variety of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
•Perform integrity and pre start checks, verifying that company procedures have been followed for plant modifications, training, operating procedures.
•Perform planned maintenance activities as required by the integrated maintenance plan in a safe manner to persons, environment and the facility.
•Understand the Maximo maintenance management and inventory system and the planning process.
•Exercise analytical skills in fault finding, maintenance and repair.
•In cooperation with other permit authorities and operators onsite, manage the administration of WCC (Work Control Certificates), ICCs (Isolation Confirmation Certificates) through ISSOW.
•Ensure personal and formal risk assessments (where required) are carried out before the start of work.
•Perform efficient remedial action to correct electrical malfunctions as necessary.
•Maintain accurate electrical logs, reports, and handover reports of all station electrical activities, recording data from gauges and meter as required.
•Recognize when changes happen or are likely to happen and act accordingly. Ensure any modifications to plant operation are subject to a Management of Change process before implementation.
•Active participation in safety briefings and pre job safety talks.
•Provide quality information concerning aspects of work and equipment to team leader and colleagues, including those who may not have core skills in own discipline.
•Communication and co-operation with all other offshore and onshore technical, managerial and training functions, including equipment partners, vendors and contractors.
•Perform emergency response duties as defined in the ERP (Emergency Response Plans) and company standards.
•Provide proactive input to training programme to ensure all aspects of national technician development are met.
•Actively encourage national technician development over and above core skills.
•Provide regular feedback to line management regarding trainee progress and requirements.
