The Role:
POSITION REPORTS TO: Facilities CSG2 Field Construction Lead
DELIVERY TEAM / FUNCTION: SCPX
WORK LOCATION: Tbilisi, Georgia
WORK SCHEDULE*: 40 hours per week Mon-Fri
START DATE: 1 September 2014
COMPLETION DATE: 28 February 2018

KEY ROLES:

Provide execution support on site electrical scope and matters to the SCPX Facilities CSG2 Field Construction Lead during the Execution stage of the SCPX Facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES:

Responsibilities shall include:

•Report directly to the SCPX Facilities CSG2 Field Construction Lead.
•Fully responsible for all aspects of performance in the execution of the electrical scope of work to include safety, environmental, social, schedule, quality, cost, engineering issue resolution, material expediting, resolution of variances, etc.
•Complete all special assignments by the Site Manager or Field Construction Lead such as, but not limited to; execution studies, method statements, reports, and trending analysis.
•Assist with implementation of project safety and environmental plans.
•Manage Electrical site activities of the main construction contractor as Company representative to achieve the successful completion of CSG2 to mechanical completion. This includes completion of exception lists accepted at time of mechanical completion.
•Monitor engineering and free-issue material / equipment deliveries vs. construction contract obligations in regards to electrical project scope. Assist resolving any forecast late deliveries in advance of delays and/or claims.
•Monitor and manage the contractor’s overall electrical progress and deviations from agreed plans. Act to prevent or remedy shortfalls as appropriate throughout the fabrication period.
•Ensure all quality requirements are met..
•Establish excellent community relationship at CSG2 and promote positive image of Company.
•Assist Site Construction Engineer in managing Site Engineering Query (SEQ) process for the site including resolution by site team if appropriate and capability present; routing, tracking & expediting of offsite resolution where appropriate, etc.
•Participate in development and/or review and approval of site procedures and method statements in regard to permanent and temporary electrical installations.
•Participate in review of temporary construction facilities designs, especially for electrical distribution and full electrical scope.
•Ensure proper protection (maintenance/preservation) of electrical and controls equipment.
•Assist in preparation of Company site deliverables as requested.
•Prepare input to weekly and monthly reports.
•Field incoming miscellaneous requests to the site team, assist in assignment to the appropriate department or function or personally prepare response, and monitor close-out.
•Provide electrical construction engineering support for the site team.
•Interface with inter-company departments such as pipelines, operations, and commissioning.
•Participate in the constructability program.
•Engage in the Project Risk and Change Management Processes.
•Contribute to the Project Lessons Learned Process.
•Participate in contractor meetings and assist in management of construction contractors.
•Maintain, track, and assist in closure of site team action items and PMCS actions.
•Provide two week R&R coverage for at least one other staff member while on shift, fulfilling their duties in addition to those of this position. Likely position to backfill is the Instrument Construction Engineer. Provide proper handover to designated alternate for R&R to allow work to proceed without impact.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Electrical Engineering or Construction Management University Degree Preferred.
Alternative qualifications shall be considered with relevant experience.
Minimum of 10 years of construction supervision experience in oil & gas construction industry
Minimum of 5 years of experience as execution focused construction engineer in Oil & Gas or suitable alternative experience.
Remote camp site project experience preferred.
Experience in cold weather climates preferred.
Experience in AGT or Russia / FSU region preferred.
Knowledge of the Georgian, Russian or Turkish language a plus.
