The Company:
With an enviable reputation across the Renewables sector, my client is embracing development, engineering, construction and ownership of wind farms Internationally. As the industry charters into deeper waters, so the need for more skills to come into the team becomes apparent.

The Role:
Whilst reporting into the Group Engineering function in the south of England, this role will be based in the North East office.

You will be joining a team with a strong technical background who are committed to developing new concepts across the wind sector :

The main responsibilities of the role will be:

• To provide design input and technical support to the wind farm development team.
• Carry out technical studies
• Draft technical specifications

Level of responsibility

• Tasks allocated and defined by others
• Work will be subject to review and checking by others
• Work independently, requesting guidance when needed

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have a degree in Electrical Engineering and have relevant industrial experience in the offshore wind sector.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally, you will also have experience with high voltage plant (ie: cables & switchgear) and have some electrical system modelling knowledge (PSS/E, DigSILENT). A background with wind turbine technology and wind farm design practice would also be beneficial.
