The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
The Drilling Commissioning Electrical Engineers are principally responsible for all aspects of Commissioning of the Drilling Packages through all phases of the project (London, South Korea, Offshore Shetland)

The role will involve Commissioning procedure reviews and updates, reviewing Commissioning temporaries requirements, manage and plan commissioning technician teams in conjunction with commissioning plans.

The role is initially based in London, moving to Korea. If however the ideal candidate is identified and is unwilling to work in the UK, we could mobilise directly to Korea.

• Familiarise with all aspects of Design
• Be familiar with project safety standards and permit to work systems.
• Develop Commissioning Scope for Yard & Offshore Phases
• Validate project data in Completions database
• Input to Commissioning Procedures
• Accept Mechanical Completion Handovers for the Discipline
• Line-walk down systems on handover from construction to commissioning and be competent to identify and punch list defects or discrepancies from design intent.
• Supervise commissioning group consisting of expat senior mechanical technicians and local commissioning technicians.
• Coordinate vendor visits in line with commissioning plan and supervise vendor site work.
• Lead the execution of the static commissioning checks
• Plan, manage and execute package dynamic commissioning testing.
• Ability to organise teams to maximise productivity and meet targets.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• MUST HAVE previous experience in a similar position within the offshore drilling industry
• Competent computer user, familiar with standard office applications
• Familiar with modern platform drilling equipment and methods
• Proven track record of compiling all relevant vendor and project technical and design details into commissioning procedures
• Familiar with project completions systems
• Proven experience in Oil and Gas Industry and Offshore working
• Relevant qualifications in Mechanical discipline
