The Role:
From a client perspective, conduct engineering supervision of electrical work and accept completed
projects from contactors. Attend initial first issue Permit toWork (PTW) meeting. Countersign PA section
of associated work permit
3.2 Review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for task/work scope. Assist PA with Method
Statement, RAMS, P&ID and Technical specifications
3.3 Attend and participate in all tool box talks. Supervise critical stages of the activities
3.4 Control the work, progress and planning of capital construction works. Ensure compliance with work
scope, in terms quality of work carried out, materials and tools used. Ensure only approved project
documentation and drawings are used. Ensure relevant construction standards, codes, technical
specifications and safety rules are applied
3.5 Ensure all mandatory and planned site inspections have taken place prior to task commencing. Ensure
PA is using correct tools, equipment and PPE corresponding to work conditions and plant (work site)
3.6 Participate in solving issues related to implement engineering changes to projects related to the
introduction of new developments, concepts and technologies, resulting in cost reduction and enhanced
performance to new and existing construction projects.
3.7 Participate in reviewing and resolving unforeseen engineering design issues arising during the course of
construction. Ensure timely and efficient resolution of such issues such as replacement of materials,
tools, modifications to structures where required without compromise to quality
3.8 Identify instances of poor quality workmanship and/or materials. Take the necessary measures to ensure
prevention, elimination and reoccurrence
3.9 Remain at the work place at all times when the PA carries out works to ensure safe work performance.
Ensure ongoing good housekeeping of the work site. Ensure site is left in a clean, tidy and safe manner
for hand-over to operations on completion of the work
3.10 Carry out technical acceptance of completed works and facilities, prepare engineering documentation as
3.11 Participate in acceptance commissions for construction projects and their handover to operations.
3.12 Ensure all construction deficiencies, defects and outstanding issues are satisfactorily completed within
established time period set by the commission.
3.13 Maintain records of completed electrical work and prepare data required for reporting of capital
construction plans.
3.14 Co-ordinate vendors, specialists and inspectors to ensure they effectively perform their duties in a timely
manner with due regard to schedule and quality
3.15 Report any unsafe act or unsafe conditions in the area in line with the HSE Procedure
3.16 Prepare daily construction report

Electrical Engineer is authorised:
4.1 To enquire and be submitted with necessary documentation relating to activity within the competence of
this job position;
4.2 To report to the Department management about all revealed shortcomings within his/her competence;
4.3 To put forward a proposal regarding improvement of the activities implemented within this job position.
4.4 Stop or suspend any work in the area that is being carried out unsafely or outside of the work
description, scope or limits or if climatic change that may introduce new hazards
Electrical Engineer shall bear responsibility:
5.1 For dereliction (improper implementation) of the job duties specified by this JD – within the limits
specified by labour laws of Kazakhstan currently in force;
5.2 For violation (offences) committed while implementing the job – within the limits specified by
Administrative, Criminal and Civil legislation of RoK currently in force;
5.3 For property damage – within the limits of labour, criminal and civil laws of Kazakhstan currently in force;
5.4 For disclosure or other unlawful use of confidential information that the employee has become aware of
in connection with the performance of work duties - within the limits specified by RoK legislation currently
in force.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Holder of the position of Electrical Engineer should have:
Education andWork
Electrical Engineer I:
Higher professional (Technical) education with work experience not less than 3
years as Electrical Engineer II;
Electrical Engineer II:
Higher professional (Technical) education with work experience not less than 3
years as Electrical Engineer III or other positions held by specialists with higher
professional education, not less than 3 years;
Electrical Engineer III:
Higher professional (Technical) education without any requirements to work
experience or secondary professional (Technical) education with work
experience not less than 3 years as Technician I or other positions held by
specialists with secondary professional education, not less than 5 years.
Necessary knowledge of · Decrees, resolutions, orders, technical procedures related to electrical works
