The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Component owner and feature owner for High and Low Frequency Antenna Systems.
- Managing the delivery of core cross-car line Antenna projects for TV, Radio, Navigation, Telephony and Telematics functions, and their application onto vehicle projects.
- Managing programme deliverables to PCS/GPDS gateways and reporting of progress against targets and milestones.
- Coordinating with the vehicle programme teams, suppliers and other teams to create acceptable hardware, software and tuning delivery timing.
- Managing good relationships with Antenna suppliers to ensure delivery to timing and performance targets.
- Liaison within the Tuners team and broadcast reception owners to coordinate test activities and issues resolution.
- Contributing to the cross-functional activities that support the system deliverables and sign-off of RF reception.
- Co-ordinate Design and component validation work to produce acceptable packages and installations that meet vehicle and system targets.
- Maintaining active control of project prototype expenditure and D&D budget.
- Managing the resolution of antenna and reception issues (AIMS and/or e-trackers), involving other areas as required, e.g. EMC, Packaging, other Electrical teams, Manufacturing, Purchasing, STA.

Skills Required:
- Automotive project management of complex electrical systems through to implementation.
- The ability to lead the resolution of technical issues within a team environment.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, self-confidence and the ability to operate with minimum supervision
- Applicants need to be qualified to degree level, Computer literate in Google, PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Project.
- The role may require regular inter-site travel, therefore it is expected that candidates will hold a valid UK Drivers licence.

Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of Antenna systems Design for Radio, TV, Satellite and Phone is preferred.

Experience Required:
Experience of automotive project management of complex systems through to implementation.

Experience Preferred:
History of working on electrical and/or Infotainment projects would be a distinct advantage. Some appreciation of vehicle packaging requirements preferred.

Education Required:
Engineering HNC or HND
