The Company:
Our client is a Major International EPC Company executing industrial mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Role:
• Prepare all technical documentation as required and be responsible for review of contractor submission to ensure they meet the project requirements.
• Design completion and review of electrical auxiliary systems.
• Review, comment and acceptance of Contractors’ manufacturing and installation drawings.
• Support during installation, commissioning and testing.
• Related work on interfaces with Mechanical and Civil disciplines for Balance of Plant

Act in accordance with the Project Instructions, and as approved by the Lead Electrical Engineer. This position will also interface with Area Managers, Construction Managers, and the project electrical team.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare all technical documentation required for the auxiliary systems, including, but not limited to:
• Design criteria
• Preliminary studies
• Value engineering studies
• General layout drawings
• Electrical Single Line diagrams
• Standard specifications
• Standard detail drawings
• Installation drawings
• Equipment lists
• Technical specifications
• As-built drawings

Other duties include:

• Manage and coordinate the progress of the electrical engineering work for the auxiliary systems in accordance with the project scope, schedule and procedures.

• Review shop drawings to ensure conformity with engineering designs.

• Review, comment and acceptance of Contractors’ manufacturing and installation drawings

• After the award of contracts and purchase orders monitor the installation work to ensure that it is executed in accordance with the Engineering design.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order for applicants to be considered for this position, their resume must clearly demonstrate that they have the following:
• Bachelors of Applied Science degree in electrical engineering.

• Registration or eligible for immediate registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador.
