The Role:
Working as part of a small research team to deliver developments and new technologies into foundation brakes for new vehicle programmes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A knowledge of vehicle braking systems both at the foundation brakes level and at the system level (ABS/SCS). Experience of project management - able to lead delivery of research projects. Specific knowledge of ceramics brakes would be an advantage
Knowledge of CARMAKER CAE package Knowledge of aerodynamics related to the cooling of braking systems.
Extensive experience of development of automotive braking systems and experience of vehicle dynamics. Brake attribute experience, experience of pedal feel and braking system tuning for driver acceptability and experience in project managing delivery of component to vehicle programme
Must have a full UK driving licence
Minimum of a first degree in Automotive/Electrical/Mechanical Eng.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and preferably Hybrid vehicle architectures
